Bruce Harris

Bruce and his wife, Medea, are the proud parents of six children. Lilley, Graham, and Emerson all graduated from Boothbay Region High School, and Sarah, Ford, and Aggie are still at home. 

Before joining Griffin & Harris, Bruce handled real estate matters involving property rights and eminent domain for nearly 30 years in Florida. He continues to represent select clients regarding property rights, but concentrates on estate planning, estate administration, real estate planning, and real estate closings. The real estate planning often involves limited liability companies and/or trusts as appropriate 

Bruce’s commitment to community includes past-president of the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club, President of the YMCA on the board of trustees, board Chair of Education Boothbay, and a member of the Harbor Theater board of trustees and member of the vestry at St Columba’s Episcopal Church. 

Bruce is an AV-rated trial attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. 


Carl R. “Chip” Griffin (retired)

Chip grew up and attended schools in Boothbay Harbor. Selected Phi Beta Kappa, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowdoin College in 1977. Chip attended the University of Maine School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 1980. He has owned and managed Griffin Law Offices since 1980. Memberships include: American Bar Association, Maine State Bar Association, and past president of the Lincoln County Bar Association.

A member of the Real Estate Section, Municipal Law Section, Trust and Estates Section, and Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association, Chip is also part of the Law Practice Management, Real Property, and Probate sections of the American Bar Association. He has been a faculty member for the Maine State Bar Association’s “Bridging the Gap” seminar, writing and speaking on law practice management and more recently at Maine’s real estate institute on real estate succession planning and the interplay between real estate and the Maine estate tax.
